The drummer in our band is interested in a headset mic. Anyone have recommendations on brands & model you've had experience with? Probably in the mid-price range where there's decent bang-for-the-buck is what he's looking at. So if any of you can point me in the right direction I'd (he'd) appreciate it. He doesn't need the cheapest if it's cheesy, but something that's good for the money. Thank you.

Don't let him. He'll grunt into it all night ;)

Had a Sennheiser that was pretty good. But Crown makes the best one AFAIK. It's the one all the big acts use.

+1 on the Crown mic Jimmy mentioned. A couple different drummers I've played with have used these, and they seem to be VERY nice mics.
