It would be so nice to eliminate cables lying around on the floor. I play wireless into a Relay G75, with the receiver sitting on top of my amp. I love this setup for the clutter-free floor space. But every once in awhile I like to use an envelope filter, so it's back to cables on the floor. Is there any feasible way around this?
I guess one could use TWO wireless systems - one from bass to pedal and one from pedal to amp...but that really doesn't seem economical or reasonable.
Another way would be to have a pedal with a bluetooth remote control footswitch to turn it on and off. The pedal could sit on my amp with the wireless receiver, everything connected with patch cables. The BT footswitch would sit on the floor to control it. The effects unit wouldn't even need to be in a pedal format, since you're not stomping on it...
Have any fx manufacturers experimented in this direction? Offer an optional BT footswitch to their pedals? Or is this a stupid idea, trying to solve a problem that no one besides me even has?
