Wireless question

I currently have a line 6 g10 wireless and it’s been acting up during practice last night and I have a gig tonight. I’ll probably just use a cable tonight but what does everyone like for wireless rigs? The g10 would get interference at some gigs so I’m gonna stay away from that. I think it was the 2.4g that interfered with the bars pos system.

Anyways any help would be great.

Thanks tj

I have the Line 6 G30 that was flawless but the door on the transmitter eventually broke. Elastic bands to the rescue! The last two years I have had good results from Boss WL-20L wireless. I believe the 20Ls are designed for active basses and the regular 20 is good for passives. I purchased a newer, cheaper wireless system but my actives were not good with these. If I were to try again, I would probably go with Joyo's as I have found their products have been good.

p.s. also pay attention that for wireless critical is not just the distance between receiver and transmitter, for best results, aim for them being in direct sight. for example, you could be 5 feet away, but without direct sight, those conditions are also far from ideal.

so, you know how to select the best frequency with your wireless and did this on sound check?

if yes, a 5G wireless is your better bet.

Thanks but I was standing right by the wireless. The main issue was the transmitter battery was acting up. The interference is a secondary issue. I think it’s time for a better quality system.

I use a shure glxd16+ it works on both 2.4 and 5.8.
I was using g30s but with the proliferation of wireless desks and the like I found that in some venues it had a few connectivity issues.
The shure was expensive but imo is totally worth it.

The shure is the one I’ve been looking at. I’m probably gonna grab one this week. Does it have a removable battery?
