Wiring an EMG BTC into a Warwick Streamer STD

Hello,

I have a Warwick Streamer STD. Its passive, with 1 humbucker. Id like to replace the tone control with an Link Removed

The wiring diagram for it is [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].

The problem I have is that the bass has a series/parallel switch, and the red wire that you're supposed to hook up to the battery is currently attached to a switch. (wiring diagram for the bass)

Will I be able to keep the switching capability, and incorporate this EQ into the circuit?

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's a passive bass then you will not have a red wire going from the pups to th battery (unless the pups are active in which you would already have a battery ). This red wire would only be for an active pup. I just installed a BTC in my passive steinberger. No red wire going from pup to battery.

I believe you take the middle wire connected to the Warwick Volume control, and connect it to the white wire from the BTC. Everything else will wire up like the BTC diagram. The ground wire coming from the BTC going to the volume control will connect to the ground post on the Warwick Volume control.

alright, thanks. now that i think about it, that makes sense.

i was just a bit confused because there is a red wire there, and the schematic didnt say anything about things only being for active/passive pickups.

Yes, ignore the "red wire battery connection to the pickup" at the top of the drawing. That's a "different" red wire.
