wiring for vtt in active bass

The bass in question is my Squier Jaguar, where the original eq stage of the preamp has been removed. I wanted to add 2 tone controls (cut only rc circuits) one standard (250k, .047uf) and one to just filter out string noise (any ideas which values for this?). the remainder of the preamp is working as a volume and a buffer, so I would like to keep this. Which way should i wire this up, and what values of pots and caps should I use?

all the passive stuff would need to happen before going into the preamp; normal 250kΩ or 500kΩ audio pot, maybe .01μF or even .005μF for the second tone control, to just shave off the highest treble?

also, have you ever heard that black ice mess? it's not "overdrive", it's more like underdrive! it just makes your gear sound broken, like a dying battery or a torn speaker.

Thanks for the input I might just leave a spare pot there instead of the black ice, and make some outlandish claim about it.
How would I wire up the 2 tone pots though?
