Wiring help

Hi all. First post here. I have an old Washburn MB-2 I use for recording demos (I'm mainly a guitarist). I was happily playing along and it went dead, so I opened up the back to find the loose wire and in doing so accidentally pulled a second one off. Now i'm lost as to where each one goes. I've tried a few combinations but I get nothing but static, and the current wiring doesn't look like anything I could find online. I'd be deeply grateful for any points in the right direction!

Your loose white wire is the pickup hot.
The loose bare wire is the pickup ground.

I tried that - nothing. Maybe I need to rewire everything to match that diagram, though it was working yesterday with whatever current wiring in place.
