I'm building a bass and I need wiring help. I getting a musicman 5 in the bridge and a bartolini jazz in the neck. How do I wire the bass like a musicman stringray 5 w/ the coil selector for the mm pickup and what electronics do I need other than the pickups? A wiring schematic would be good too for this.

FWIW:

not something I've ever tried to do but Bart used to have a wiring diagram of the MM5 on their website under the MM pickups section. Had that MM PCB so I don't know how use it would be. I assume EB's still have the PCB installed.

There may be something on the EB site or perhaps a TB search that would pull up something of use. Once you figure out what the controls do, you can backtrack for the wiring. Don't know how much their preamp has to do with their tone.

you can use the diagram on the bartolini web site for the sr5 as a starting point:

You'd also need a blend pot obviously. You don't need any preamp unless you want it active.
