Wiring question: SD active J pups + onboard pre

Hi, I have a question about wiring active Basslines Ajj-1 pups with Aguilar OBP-2 preamp.

as I don't think there is space for two 9V batteries in Squier CV jazz cavity, can I power pickups and preamp with same battery? and will this drain battery too fast?

Yes, this is how it's commonly done. In fact, I can't imagine that those pickups would like to have 18volts going into them, so you're probably better off with 9 volts.

thx. so I wire parallel from battery + to OBP module and pickup battery wire?

well, I wired it all together, it sounds nice, but there is a strange issue. when I change position on volume pots, there is a strong signal going into speakers, actually almost no sound but speakers are making a strong "bump". it seems like very low range signal is coming out.

it is wired vol-vol-stacked bass/treble, and same battery drives pickups and preamp (connected parallel)

any ideas what could be the problem?

never mind, I don't like the sound, took them out...
