wisdom teeth tmm

Sorry your scared. I had my two upper ones done in one sitting back in the '80s by my dentist and like you I was unsettled. It's the great unknown factor I think. I only had 6 cavities to date, so extraction was the big time. It really helped knowing that my girlfriend (now wife) waiting outside and my dentist was a real pro.

He explained the procedure in great detail and what I was to expect. He then asked me to pick out a tape for the walkman to listen to (best of Cream) and I cranked it up. I had been given gas and a local. I was feeling very fine indeed. The album sounded great and the blonde dental assistant was looking even better

He was done before Crossroads was over. He then cranked up the oxygen and gave me a persciption for painkillers and I split. Total time was under and hour. Worst part of the day was getting home on the NYC subway!

My advice---Good luck, bring an iPod in case your dentist has crappy tunes and pay attention to his post-op list.

Regards---------
