Just heard them today. Don't really get the Sabbath Zeppelin thing to me they sound like a combo of TRex and TRex

Chris Ross (bassist) from Wolfmother is a good friend of mine. They don't think they are a new sound at all. For a start they are using genuinely old instruments. I know Myles paid a small fortune for his 60's drum kit. They are trying to re-create a sound. Not make a new one. they never expected to make it big. I know Chris and the guys started jamming together in about 04.. look at them now

I've seen Wolfmother on TV a couple of times. First time I thought it sounded like a bunch of noise but they were better the 2nd time. The bassist made me cringe when he pushed his Rick across the floor when he moved to the keyboard
