Actually, I'd like to see a pic of the whole bass, pickups and all.

It's custom bass made by me. Twisted neck with trapezoidal profile, ebony fretboard and cf skin over maple core. Mahogany body. Filter preamp (Lemme schematic) as tone control. Sounds just great.
Not too good pic, I try to take another tomorrow.

Dont suppose there is any chance of some sound clips.....:bassist:.....with a heavy pick.....:hyper::ninja:

cheers

Some kind of a sound clip. Played with heavy pick. I don't usually play with pick and you can sure hear it. I hope you get some sense of the sound anyway.

Please go to Lataa and load the mp3 file. If you listen it from maihinnousu site it will have an annoying high pitch buzzing all the time.

I guess I'm curious what your feelings toward the bass are. Obviously you've put a lot of work into it and hopefully the work was executed well. But are you happy with it?

KO

Well it's the best playing and sounding bass I've made so far. Plus there's only very, very small details that bother me which all can be fixed quite easily (and some already are fixed, like changed the felt washer under the horn strap lock). So yes, I'm very pleased with this bass. Worth every minute it took.

David @SGD,

On the original Wal pickup, what happens if I were to unscrew the adjustable pole pieces all the way out? Will it even come all the way out? If I took them all out at the same time will it collapse internally. :o
Just wondering because if I ever wanted to get gnarly poles replated.

No, it shouldn't fall apart. Right now the pole piece screws I have are black, but I'm also looking for chrome plated screws.
