Then say that. The consistent "soon" estimates come across as misleading when they're three years stale and we as customers have no tangible reason to believe we're any closer to a release date.

He's said (and I believe more than once) before that this is a project on his own time, commissioned from someone else, and as it has been stated in this thread, there is no mention of it on the SGD site anyway.

Commission work can be time-consuming. Can you get a contractor to get everything finalized and done within one day, or even a week's time? Of course not.

Ha...i knew i had seen the Wal with the plexi "slap cover"...It seems this guy built a Wal clone while owning this bass. Maybe he had the electronics "reversed engineered". If someone is interested i would ask where he got the electronics built! (def would be less time to wait)
