Chris Wood is the bass player for Martin, Modeski, and Wood but also does a roots music thing with his older brother. I saw them in a small club last year and it was the best show I'd seen in a long time. The dude has chops AND good taste.

I love these guys. I'm also a Medeski, Martin, and Wood fan and I've been able to see Chris Wood perform with his brother and with MMW.

Ways Not to Lose was my favorite new album of 06'. www.MMW.net claims they have already done some recording for a new Wood Brothers album on Blue Note. I'm looking forward to it.
