Does anyone have wood species suggestions for the linings of a bass? I can not find willow wood at the local lumber yards and was looking for some alternatives.

I've heard that pallets can also be found that are made of pearwood. Pearwood is often used by makers who like to maker their own purfling. If you like hunting down the alleys of the industrial district, pallet racks are often made out of willow, btw. ( not joking )
