I like this word. To me it means have a strong inner strength to move forward or sometimes hold the line no matter what the adversity. It is not about pride or ego you can have fortitude without making a big show if it. Sometimes what others may see as softness or maybe even cowardice may be your own conviction to quietly do what is right no matter how it looks to others.
