Double Bass WorkingPro 12

No, otherwise they'd probably have the same name.

You can buy this in electronics part suppliers stores.
Radio Shack, for instance.
(I'm not sure they have high values, above 1 Megohm, in stock though)

I found resistors on a nordic website. this is a sample of some of the resistors they have in stock:

Size: 0207
Power rating: 0.25 W at +70 °C
Tolerance: ±5 %
Max oper. voltage: 300 Vdc
Insulation voltage: 500 Vdc
Operating temp.: −55 to +155 °C
Dimensions
body: Ø2.4xL6.4 mm
wire: Ø0.6xL28 mm

Diameter: 2.4 mm
Effekttålighet: 0,25 W @ +70 °C
EIA-storlek: 0207
Längd: 6.4 mm
Märkspänning: 300 V dc
Resistans: 3,9 MΩ
Teknik: Carbon film
Tolerans: ±5 %

Does this seem to be the correct product for soldering on to the jack socket of the piezo? The language is swedish though, but I think you get the picture.......

Those are SMD devices. (surface mount)
You need a through-hole resistor, similar to this:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

A 5% tolerance, 1/4W unit is all you need, this is the most common type.
Maybe you can choose a 4.7Meg one.
The input impedance of the preamp will lower the total impedance.

I think you'd best finding someone in your entourage that has some knowledge and can help you.
