Any good world music bassists these days anyone can recommend, particularly India/ raga styles? I love Ravi Shankar and the Indian Classical phase John McLaughlin used to do so something along those lines. Cheers!

Nguyen Le has a newer disc "Songs of freedom" which is super world fusion and has a bit of the eastern flavor.

Folks, you can stop providing recommendations. The OP specifically posted his question so that he could then (under a different name) suggest himself as someone to check out (hence Bryan's response).

He's a mod! ;) All you have to do is check out several posts (under the different "guises") and the loop of self-referals becomes quickly apparent.
