It's allowed to show the God's worship gear, but my Satan's worship gear is deleted.
There is no free cult worship here?

Not sure what you mean, but if you're talking about how the P&W bassist club is permitted here while the Atheist Bassist Club is relegated to the Lobby, it is because the P&W club is devoted to bassists who play P&W music and the nonreligous topics devoted to that.

I created a thread about 'Show your Satan's worship gear'. It didn't last long.... :bored:

If you play bass in a Satanist Church, I'd think that it would be allowed in the P&W thread.

Anything explicitly related to religion is moved to the lobby. Which is accessible for supporting members only.

I think it's mostly about context. I think most of us know "P&W" in this context refers to a certain belief. As far as allowing another kind of worship thread, it's probably best to PM a mod directly.

I have no idea. I have never been in the P&W thread as I am a non-believer (most days of the week) and have never played in any worship setting.

It does make one think though... If someone plays bass in a Jewish Synagogue are they allowed in? How about a Muslim Mosque? A Hindu Ashram?

I suspect this thread will vanish quite soon too.;)

Why not join the P&W club? Seeing as Satan is a character in Christian mythology, and the P&W club is inherently Christian, seems to me a Satan worshipper should qualify. Unless you're talking about a different Satan. Then I don't know.

Interesting. My first response is 'I would hope so!' and I'm still mostly thinking that, but now it's tinged with 'Would it be relevant?' My religious bent lands me in the general neighborhood of the sort of religious institutions that often have P&W bands, but I've also been in a whole lot of other Christian churches where an electric bass would be the last thing they'd allow in the door. So it's not just 'Christian' but a subset of that.

Does the P&W subset exist in Jewish gatherings? Any form of Islam? If so, why wouldn't the folks that participate in that be allowed in the thread? I'd imagine that the challenges and joys would be much the same.

My mother's synagogue has a band. That band has a bass player. I assume they're not unique in that regard.

    1. No one wants their most sacred beliefs referred to as "mythology." Not trying to infringe on anyone's right to say that, but hopefully we can see how it could cause problems, hence the TB ban on discussing religion.

    2. As I understand it, P&W in this context is about a musical genre, and the P&W thread in question is about gear.

    3. This is a private forum; the powers that be get to decide what's appropriate. You can always PM a mod or admin if you disagree with something on TB. Speaking of that...

    4. Has anyone PMed a mod or admin yet? That's what they request we do regarding subjects like this. Give them a chance to do their jobs instead of starting a potentially incendiary thread.

Is this one of those threads that someone gets pissed about how something was moderated like they own this place or something or like they have the right to do whatever they want. Let me give you an example if this is one of those threads. You go over someones house, can you do whatever you want there? Exactly! Treat the thread like someones house: you are a guest not the owner.

I'm using the word as I understand it's definition. If someone is offended by that, okay. Not sure why.
