Worst string manufactuer you know

Just tried some SIT PowerWound nickel. While probably not the worst,
they remind me of the strings that come stock on your average, low end bass. Bland and lifeless, with uneven tension and way too much top end. Put them on and took them off after one rehearsal. They just had a weird feel.

I've only changed my strings once (only been playing 18 months, realised I like my strings a bit dull) and can't complain about the Rotosounds I am using (the bottom four out of a five string set). I've used D'Addario on guitar all my life, and will probably change to those next time I change strings.

Good thing that there are many strings manufacturers out there because one guy's precious gem is another guy's waste of money!

For me, DR and Labellas were not as good as the price tag suggested... IMHO.

After reading through this thread I'm going to take the strings off my basses and just tap the pickups with drumsticks.

Seriously, I haven't experimented enough to know what's best for me. GHS Boomers have been my go to strings for many years. Now I really love the Pressure Wounds but don't want them on both basses so it's time to try something new. I just don't know where to start. I hate super zingy strings so steel is out for sure.

I don´t know the name of the company, but I´ve read somewhere that they´re made in Korea. Maybe with barbed wire from the 38th N parallel fence...
Sounds about right. I'm actually kind of a thug when it comes to strings. I love DRs but I'll play just about whatever in a pinch and for 10-15 bucks american. If I couldn't tolerate them its saying a lot.
