Would a black pickguard look nice? Or should i stick with white?

At the end of the day, it's your choice, but a white pearloid would look awesome, I would personally go with some type of tortoise color since I'm just weird like that

Are you sure the stock one isn't mint? I think it looks fine as is. Black seems too dark for the sage.

I did this to a Squier Affinity (Agathis) PJ body. I liked the look of a green pearloid PG I had bought and wanted to use. However, before I got a neck ready and sprayed the gloss poly finish I changed my mind and went with a relic Rasberry sparkle and sticker covered pickguard. I sometimes throw the green pearloid pickguard on It cus it looks cool, if a little Willy Wonka.

I have this bass coming in the mail with in the next couple days. Do you guys think a black pickguard would look nice on here? Or should i stick with stock white? Let me know what you guys think bc quite frankly I can't decide. If I do decide to go with black over the white, any suggestions as to where to get the pickguard from to ensure it's fit? This is a 2018 MIM (player) jazz bass, and it seems when buying new pickguards many are often left with unfilled screw holes or loose ends ect. Thanks in advanced guys!View attachment 4602916

That would look SHARP with a black pickguard, and black hardware to go with it. Imagine that with a black pickguard, black bridge, black control plate, and black tuners!

It would be hard to go wrong with the color of the bass. Find the ones that sell for $9 to $15 and buy a pearloid aged cream or pearloid white a Black and a mint green. The aged white can sometimes have a lighter green color. You get sick of one you can change it out like your socks it only takes a moment good luck!

I think the white PG kind of washes out the green, where the black makes it pop, IMHO.

Black will make the color pop better. Under stage lights, white will take over - especially with different colors of light. If you hate the color of the bass, white helps hide it. If you like it, black shows it off.

Under stage lighting, white, mint, parchment - they all look the same, no need to get picky about the tint, or change one for another within that small slice of the color spectrum.
