Absolutely! The only thing that will happen is the pedal will likely quash your low end, but that's a tonal issue, not a safety issue for anything in your signal chain, including your amp/speakers.
No. The apocalypse shall arrive early due to the higher frequencies coming out of your amp which will cause 75% of the world's carbon to spontaneously turn into CO2 and create a runaway greenhouse effect that will make Venus seem tame by comparison.
