Would this splitter work?

Hi there.

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but here there are actually people who are willing to help me, and those who know all the answers.

Recently I asked how to connect a stack with one input on the cabs, and one speakon on the head. I was told to get a Y cable, but I've had difficulty finding any. But, eventually I found this - The one right at the top:

Would this work? Or does it look fake or something?

No, stupid would be NOT asking when you don't know, just plugging stuff in and hoping for the best.

What you need is a Y cable with three male plugs NL4FC. This is so simple to make you could almost make it with your eyes closed.

Get two lengths of 16 gauge twin flex say three feet in length and three NL4FC plugs. Wire one end of both cables into one speakon plug using the +1 and -1 terminals. Wire the other ends of the cable to one speakon each. Make sure you observe polarity. You want all the +1 terminals to be connected together and the same for the -1 terminals. You now have a Y cable. Use the speakon with two cables at the amp and the others to your cabinets.

Most of those type plugs have screw terminals, you don't even have to solder anything. Just strip the wire end, twist it, stick it in and tighten it down.

If you already have some speaker cable and just need to change the ends, yes. Any sort of 16 guage or so cord is the same thing like a piece of extension cord, the power cord off an old appliance, etc.

See, the thing is I don't already own speaker cable. That's why I was trying to find one already made up. This is my first stack, so I've never had a use for speaker cables.

Go to you local home supply for the wire, 16 awg or 14 awg two wire "zip or lamp cord" in the colour of your choce. Order the connectors and the rest is down hill. The zip cord sound have a ridge or colour stripe to identify one side of the wire pair.
