If you like that bass, and that's what you want, go for it. Personally, I would.

It may be worth the trade, but the Smith is a 4-string and if you *need* the 5th string, you'll be out of luck.

As much as I LOVE my 4-bangers, the few times I've tried to go without a 5-string in my arsenal, I've failed. I currently have 4 5er's (2 fretted, 2 fretless).

What kind of music do you play? Does the Smith suit that style better than the Fender/Tone Hammer/TLC combo? If so, then do it.
