Would you consider it? If so, how much would you pay?

Ok, I realise that I've A) been rude to people, and B) - As per JimmyThunder's observation - broken the rules.

At first, I thought that it would be ok; thought my specific situation would be exempt from that rule.

Sorry, everyone. Going to delete this in 5 minutes time.

Thanks Gorn. I'm not trying to cause any arguments, pee people off, or break the rules. The chances of me selling it on here are low, because most TB users are in The USA. Unless there was some coincidence (i.e. Someone in WA or TX says "I played that bass once! Ship it over!" or someone in the UK saw the ad, and wanted it) I'd be selling it UK only, and going by word of mouth/local internet networks. For an instrument like this (I can put good stuff in it, but it's still an RBX) I'm not interested in shipping it out of the country... that would definitely push the price up too high for its relative market. Just asking the question of other members. I might delete this and re-post with a more relevant wording.
There are Europe-specific classifieds but it still really sounds like you're trying to sell it without actually putting it up for sale. A supporting membership isn't expensive. Get one, mod your Yamaha to your hearts content and try to sell it for whatever you think you can get.

Thanks again, Gorn. I understand now how it came across. I need to point out that that was never my intention, and I wouldn't use a cheap tactic like that. I will be getting a supporting membership, in time. I've found plenty of helpful information on these forums, so it's only right that I give back.

Here's a pic, though :P

That bass went from "non-existent" to photogenic in record time!

It's a joke. What is there to sell?

This was my thinking as I began the thread:
"I don't actually have anything to sell; "What's it worth" - it's not an 'it' yet, so that wording doesn't cover it, and "price check..." I'm not checking a price because there isn't a price to check"

I wasn't trying to sell anything via this thread.

To be completely vague I will say don't expect to see that bass list for very much.

The best way to try and evaluate your bass is to peruse the classifieds...either here or Craigslist or even ebay. See what folks are asking or, on ebay, check completed listings.

Oddly, no RBX200 has apparently been (correctly) listed on this site's classifieds...

Here is a search for Yamaha RBX, many to check out.

All you have to do now is add a post saying "pm me for price and shipping quote" and you've laid out all the details for a classified add all while acting like you weren't! Real sneaky how while saying you weren't trying to really sell yet you slipped in "UK buyers only".. classy.

I can tell you that I'd be less likely to consider it and would pay less after reading this thread. You keep breaking the rules even while telling us how you're not trying to break them and are so sorry if you've broken any. Makes you seem like a sleazeball I wouldn't want to deal with.

The Op has contacted the admins to admit his mistake, which appears to have been an oversight/misunderstanding on his part. He has requested that I delete this thread, which I will do; but I'll lock it for a day so that everyone who has posted will have a chance to read the outcome and why it will soon disappear. No harm done that I can see - honest mistakes happen.
