. Now THIS is a cool idea. You know what would be hilarious? Put a preamp tube in it (12AX7, etc.), maybe with a mesh or drilled/slotted cover, and wire up the tube socket's heater terminals to a battery. When curious bass examiners approached, you could flip a switch and light those tube heater filaments up and explain that it's a new active tube preamp you're beta testing for ____________________.
Or maybe use one of those tiny little 50C5 preamp tubes...only need 5V for the filament, instead of 12. I have a 50C5 I will personally mail you if you do this.
Personally I kinda like the idea of the dummy pickup. Easy and would look cool. But I'm a lazy simpleton.
I'd take something from another hobby or interest and stick it in there. Cut up an ace of spades and a poker chip, or an old bicycle sprocket, an arrow point, favorite photo, something like that. Something that represents you. A token, a good luck charm for going out on stage.
Again, just interested in hearing other people's opinions and ideas on what they'd do. It's what TB is all about.
It took you more effort to offer nothing than it would to ignore the thread.
Feel free to move along...
1) The hole doesn't bother you (supposedly). - so -
2) You're just seeking feedback.....why?
I suspect the reason you asked was to garner responses from the community in order to stroke your ego.
So essentially you offered less than nothing. G'day.

@OP: What kind of wood is your body and what "color" is the finish? I really like it and might go for this on my next bass.
