have Mike Huckabee sign your bass if the oportunity presented itself. I have 1 bass - a 2001 MIM Jazz. I play it with a small acoustic group as a hobby. Huckabee is speaking at a church near me on Sunday and I thought about bringing the bass and a sharpy and having him sign the pickguard. Politics aside, I do like Mike Huckabee.

Have him sign the back of the headstock. That way, you don't wear it off during play.

Or get a separate matching pickguard and have him sign that. (There are also preservative sprays and films you can use to cover it.)

I dunno about doing it, though. I feel I kind of dodged a bullet when he made a campaign stop here and the music was provided by a band I had recently left. So...there's Huck on TV playing Sweet Home Alabama with my old band using their new bass player's Ric and rig. I really don't know how I would have reacted to being asked if he could sweat on my Deluxe...

Go for it. He's got that first finger going like Jamerson, seems to know his way around the fretboard. Have it signed somewhere that won't rub off, or a seperate pickguard like someone suggested above.
