Kind of like if Leo Fender took 3 or 4 different drugs washed down with a gallon of malt liquor and then got to work......

Back in the ‘80s, I did things like this to my first electric guitar. The right parts weren’t readily available in the pre-internet days—especially in Kansas City. Nor “how to” videos. So, I made things up as I went along using parts from Radio Shack and the hardware store. I didn’t know routers were a thing, and used a wood chisel for years instead.

That said, I always made sure to hide things with the pickguard so at least it looked “professional”!
