WTD: Houston area luthier

If this is in wrong forum please move. Anyway, I'm looking for a Houston area guy/gal that can route and install some active electronics in a couple of my basses. I've got the electronics I want but am not comfortable routing the bodies myself. Preferably someone south of the loop as I'm in the Clear Lake area. Thanks!

The only one that I will let touch anything of mine is the guy at Katz's in the Woodlands. I know it's a drive, as I live on the southwest side, but it's worth it to know that the work is getting done right, and will be what you ask for. If he gets in the middle of something and realizes that it can't happen, then he will call and talk about the options rather than assume what you would want and just do it.

If you haven't heard about it, it's on the south bound side of 45N. North of Rayford Sawdust, South of Woodlands Pkwy.

Mike Nedd/Nedd Custom Guitars. He builds his own stuff and can do just about anything as far as upgrades/repairs/setups/etc. go. He's the only guy I use.

He's in the Oak Ridge area, on the East side if I-45 across from The Woodlands. He's as cool a guy as you could meet, too.

It's been 10ish years since I've used, or even seen Neil Sargent, but he did an amazing job for me on a '79 Les Paul Deluxe that someone had done an amateurish as hell job of routing for full size humbuckers. He cleaned up the routing to factory appearance and did a beautiful set-up. I don't remember how much he charged, but I do remember I expected it to be double his actual price. Nice guy, too. The guitar has come to be a "never part with" unit for me. A lot have come and gone in the mean time.

I used Neil when I lived down in the Galleria, and he was good too.

My singer had his old LP Studio with a severely cracked neck fixed up by Nedd and it's pretty much flawless as well. Plus Mike didn't try and give me sh!% for "alternate" tunings and setups like Neil did lol.
