Who has restored or at last recapped a Walter Woods Mi-800-8?
Thinking of doing the same and Woods and his engineering has nothing on the net..

Did it come with a schematic inside? AFAIK all of the WW amps going back to the ice cream sandwich used switchmode power supplies, and he changed over to switchmode power amps as well at some point. Switchmode circuits are not for the faint of heart to work on, even with the schematics and access to replacement parts.

Walter not only doesn't provide schematics, but for a time actually removed part numbers from components. The only way to get a WW repaired is through Walter IME
