Just like to say that I have had an issue with one of Nick's cabs, and he is bending over backwards to help me out, to the tune of sending me a brand new cab. He has spent alot of time with me over the phone and through emails to try to get it resolved. I've have never dealt with a nicer guy, and a builder who is so concerned with customer service before ! Kudos to Nick !

Hey the same here, I received a damaged cab thanks to UPS, Nick made it right, more than right. He did not rest till all was well, this kind of customer care is beyond anything found in the marketplace today. And in my opinion his product is every bit as great as his customer care.

PS: I'm not a pro player or an endorser, Nick treats the little people with the same consideration as the pro's, he does care and is there after the sale.

Thought I'd drop in and post a picture of my 2155CF. I upgraded to the Eminence APT80 tweeter and really like the mids that Faital 5" adds. Nick said "Once you hear those mids through that 5" Faital you won't want to move that switch back to 2-way". He's right. That Eminence 3015/Faital M5N8-80 match is stellar. The lows are really tight and punchy for a box loaded with two 15's and this sounds great with my Streamliner 900. I did the NOS 5751 tube swap in position 1 which tames the bloom and improves the mid balance of this amp. This cab can get L-O-U-D and I run the master volume lower than with my other cabs. It's got solid and percussive lows with good articulation and sweetness to the mids but can snarl if you want it to. Loving this matchup with both my Valenti PJ5 and Carvin SB5000 basses.

Got some pictures at my July 4th gig . Once again the 212cf worked great , very easy to hear on stage . That's my drummer Richie in the first pic . Strange what that little cab will do even on this wide stage , the other bass players at the gig had much larger cabs , I love it ! 5 String , I bet that cab really kicks . I'd probably like that mid too but this cab has pretty good mids like it is .

^^^^^No doubt! I have used my 212CF on a few outdoor gigs now and Ive never had a problem hearing it. I actually prefer it on outdoor festival gigs just to open the eyes of the other bass players and watch them haul their Big heavy "Outdoor" rigs around. I always get comments before and after the show the comments change to "Wow! Who makes those cabs again?"

I got to run this rig this past weekend!

The 212CF and Berg AE410 played nicely together. I couldn't hear any phase canceling or weird anomalies. It just pushed the headroom of both to an all new level. Both cabs are capable of handling a lot of power but in this case I was only feeding them 250 Watts each and the volume was monstrous. It made me wish for a second 212CF on top of the one I already have to really hit those loud 810 cab volumes in a small package the size of a 410. Perhaps soon... GAS is a real sickness.

Until pgbassman can respond in person here I'll put in my guess that the 212CF gives him more in the way of portability. I know, duh.... I'd be willing to bet it does the volume for the gigs he does but saves a bunch of space in the car. Just a guess.

Me personally, the 212CF does all but one of my gigs. The one gig it doesn't do is a real oddball because we actually mic the drums with one mic on the kick and 1 overhead but the bass runs the room on it's own.

For the most part, if you have to mic the drums the bass would need to go to the P.A. as well. I feel the 212CF is quite capable when expectations fall within this rule. It will gladly hang with a loud rock drummer and a couple of guitars. You just need to feed it more power to get louder. My Markbass LMT 800 is really nice sounding with this cab and can reach impressive volumes.

Is anyone running a GK MB500 or MB800 with Xsonics cabs? I'm happy with my SL900, but I always liked the GK sound, too. I'm really hoping that the Xsonics amp becomes a reality one day.

As I understand it, it won't sound like a GK but rather Ampeg like. Your SL900 is a polar opposite to the GK sound isn't it? You would have the full sonic spectrum covered if you outfitted yourself with an MB800 as well!!

I was using an mb800 when I first got my xsonics 212cf . I actually kinda miss it , seemed to have a lot more top end and also seemed like it had more power than my shuttle 9.2 .now that my 2125 has opened up I am adding more highs and rolling back the bottom end

No the 212cf I had was using the stock tweeter. The 2125 is three way or two way switchable I tend to use it in a three way configuration. The genz benz head doesn't have the high end of the GK that's for sure, but i think it has a sweeter more even tone to it .
