Xsonics Club

This new line looks to be following what the Theil-Small equations, Hoffman's Iron law.
Generally a great use of high quality drivers. More measurements would confirm this.

I expect these to reach a much broader range of players looking to get the most of their money. Slight changes could also make them good for acoustic guitar and keyboards even.

Here's one I'm looking forward to checking out. The 1155TF is 24"w x 17"h x 16"d. At a nominal 8 ohms, 500W it should be a good match with my Genz STM900 and GK MBF800 amps.

Thought I'd drop in and post a picture of my 2155CF. I upgraded to the Eminence APT80 tweeter and really like the mids that Faital 5" adds. Nick said "Once you hear those mids through that 5" Faital you won't want to move that switch back to 2-way". He's right. That Eminence 3015/Faital M5N8-80 match is stellar. The lows are really tight and punchy for a box loaded with two 15's and this sounds great with my Streamliner 900. I did the NOS 5751 tube swap in position 1 which tames the bloom and improves the mid balance of this amp. This cab can get L-O-U-D and I run the master volume lower than with my other cabs. It's got solid and percussive lows with good articulation and sweetness to the mids but can snarl if you want it to. Loving this matchup with both my Valenti PJ5 and Carvin SB5000 basses.

Welcome to the club, Mr. Pocket. :)

It's nice to have a guy in the fold who has designed and built his own killer cabs, enjoying an Xsonics CF cab.

Here's a few of 5StringPocket's awesome builds for anyone who's interested:

Thanks for trusting Nick (and the rest of us fools ;)), and supporting Xsonics.

Most impressive build threads!

How so?
All the club thread posts are in this thread...

You can go start another club thread if that's what y'all want, but, all previous club thread posts are in this thread.

Let me further clarify. The purpose of "Club" threads is for users to discuss those products. To stockpile, if you will, large amounts of information pertaining to a given subject. This thread fits that bill perfectly.

I agree with your description here, but the other function of a club thread is for the club members to have a more streamlined place to discuss/question/enlighten other users (of the same product) in an expedient fashion. Weeding through a large amount of pages/posts of the main product thread does not accomplish the same thing.

Members of a club thread tend to regard the club as something of their "own". It's a group they are excited to be a part of, which rolls over into being more excited about Talkbass in general...which is a good thing. :)

Can we have the name of the thread converted to reveal that it's a "Club" Thread?

Also, do the subscribers from each of these merged threads get subscribed to this one? It seems as though all Xsonics threads get merged and merged back into 1 thread. Do the subscribers move too? It's not really fun talking about our passion if our numbers are continually reduced.

I realize Nick from Xsonics and Fretlessboy seemed to have broken TB rules earning Nick a lifetime ban and Fretlessboy his 3rd in probably 6 months. Not all of us are here to manipulate TB to advertise Xsonics cabinets. Many of us just would like to share our great experiences with them like any other product made available to us.

I see different Genz Head clubs and different Bergantino cab threads that don't get merged into one "XXXX Company" thread.

It makes talking about new products coming available difficult if all the replies and talk is merged into one old jumbled club thread that's not labeled as a Club thread.

I'm not an Xsonics endorser but only a happy TB contributor and weekend warrior bass player. Out of all the threads I participate in, the Xsonics ones seem so difficult to follow the conversations in.

I voted for the initial merger as it made sense but the most recent ones have been really detrimental to the use of the message board. Is it possible we could allow some Xsonics threads in the future to run their course?

The "XSonics Company" thread was merged with the Club thread.
Then, "what is your favorite Xsonics cab" was merged into this.

I don't see how that's detrimental to club members chatting up their favorite cabs; and/or hard to follow.

I've asked the higher ups to re-name this Club thread; as it's age precludes me from editing it.

This main thread should not be renamed the club thread...club threads are traditionally started and populated by those who own the product (and, yes, I know that ANYONE can post in a club thread). In most club threads people who end up selling their piece give up their club number, and exit the club.

I believe you are correct that the Xsonics club is the only one to get merged into the main product thread.

I think we're just looking for a level playing field here.
