Yamaha Attitude Club

So, this showed up over the holidays. I had been trying to purchase a Thunder Blue Special, but the seller backed out at the last minute.

I really like the Attitude Specials. I had a black Limited II a few years ago and never really bonded with it. The Specials have most of the features that I love about the Attitudes and don’t have the ones that I really don’t need.

Excellent, congrats. The black certainly fits in nicely.

Next week I ll probably buy an Attitude LTD 2 (black) so shagin excited !!!
should i buy a second amp too XD or is it okey if ı distort the P pickup seperatly and use a joined signal for a mono rig ?
And do you have any string suggestions ?
I use Elixirs usually cause my hands tend to sweat and strings rust fast but i dont think that bright sound might be good at this bass, still need opinions from experienced players

I played one of these today at Guitar Sanctuary outside of Dallas…Holy moly these thing murder!! The 10” radius fingerboard with the big beefy neck is perfect. Going to try and fish around for the lightest one I can find and get it. If anyone has a III that comes in right around 9 pounds that they’re looking to part with, hit me up.

Sorry, been busy with home renovations. Here she is along with my SB-1 with an Ampturco harness. Strung with Rotosound BS66’s after pic was taken. Setting up a little practice rig in the basement. Got a set of Relentless pickups and an appointment for Ampturco to solder them up. EBS “The Ultimate” pedal came in after picture but wish I would’ve spent the extra for a Stomp.

Have all the parts in to make a “Billy Strap” - roll of StrapWorks strap, grommets, paint, etc.

How's the new Attitude treating you?

If you haven't already, try running both outputs from the bass into one of the EBS pedals (neck pickup into the clean loop)

Did you just get the Relentless middle (P) pickup or do you also order a Relentless neck pickup? I only ask because the Relentless neck pickup is dimensionally much deeper than the OEM pup and will not fit without removing some wood from then neck.

Cheers,
Steve
