Yamaha aw1600 functionality question

Can someone help me out: this yamaha aw1600 unit is advertised as being a 16 track recorder when recording in 16bit mode, and an 8 track in 24bit mode, and is also advertised as being able to record "up to" 8 tracks simultaneously. My question is as follows: are you able to record 8 tracks simultaneously, whilst recording in the 24bit mode, or is this number also halved?

The answer is: it can record up to 8 tracks simultaneously, even when in 24bit recording mode - i managed to download and trawl through a like 50-page manual to find that one out.
