Yamaha BB-1200.....any other owners??

I have an old i.e.1980 BB-1200 and still continue to use it in my regular rotation of basses during gigs. It's a very well rounded and solidly constucted instrument. This is a bass guitar that I would have difficulty parting with. Any thoughts?

I have owned 2 of those, a natural and a 'burst. The natural I bought new back in the day, and the 'burst I bought about 4 years ago used from BassNW. I seriously regret letting them go. I just listened to a track I recorded with the 'burst one a few years ago at a major studio in Hollywood and was kicking myself after being reminded how good it sounded. GREAT basses. If I had any extra dough these days I'd look for another.

I've shared your feelings for many years. Owned two of them, John Carruthers http://www.carruthersguitars.com/ designed them and modified mine with EMG PJ pickups and a 3 way toggle. It is THEE BEST SOUNDING & RECORDING BASS I own. The Intonation and Definition is Incomparable.

So, I'm selling off ALLLLL my bases and going to have John make me a 5 or modify my LowEnd 6 string!!! Wanna buy another BB1200????
