Another BB1200 owner/fan here! The "P-bass on steroids" description seems pretty accurate to me... it's the "A-Rod bass", if you will!

Never played the BB1200S, but did have a BB1100S for a while, which I think is the neck-through version of the same axe. It was a killer for the money!

The 1100S is bolt-on (PJ), the 1200S is the neck-through (reverse P). I love mine.
