No worries. I FINALLY found the information, and I'm good at searching. The blacks are grounds like I thought. And the white and red are hots. I wired it correctly but something is wrong... Back to the drawing board. Thanks for replying! Cheers!!

If you're working from a published wiring diagram, sometimes it's not totally clear if they're showing the pots from the top view or back view. If the visual is confusing, there's a chance that you could solder a hot lead to the wrong outer lug of a pot.

When I pre-wire pots before putting them in the bass, I try to make sure I keep the visual orientation consistent with how the pots appear when they're installed in the bass. I do the soldering with the shafts facing down so I can see the backs of the pot cases.

Thanks! I'm going to do just that as it gets very confusing. I'm installing an m/n blender and am reading the values of the sweeps to be sure. I tried cutting the traces, but am going to install w/o cutting and see what I've got then.
