Has a nice modern sound, due to the new Aguilar pre & soap at pu's. Killer jazz sound when rear pu is used more. I spent slot of time & money on this project. Plus bass is in excellent condition. Low End bass shop, in Nashville, did the pickup work!!!

I installed a Schaller roller bridge.... not positive, but 17-19 mm. I have it set to approx 17.5 mm spacing. Hope this helps. Check Schaller web-site for specs. As far as trade value, I have approx $1200-$1400 invested, between actual cost of bass, new hipshot tuners,Schaller bridge, Aguilar pre, Aguilar pickups, aluminum knobs, and labor.. Brian Barret (low end bass) did pickup install (routing). Pro job..!!

There were two different widths of BB5000. I had thought this was the narrower version but the narrower one couldn't take that wide of string spacing without getting too close to edge of fingerboard - so maybe this is the wider version.

Would you mind measuring with a ruler across the B to G at the bridge and also measure how wide the fingerboard is at the 24th fret? (either inches or mm is fine) Thanks!

How close are the B and G strings to the edge of the fingerboard?

Here are some measurement pics. Also, no problem with B or G strings rolling off fretboard. Bass plays very well, I have a very low setting... I don't play hard, at all. If you dig in or play overly aggressive, my action won't work.! Hope this helps. I've spent a pretty good amount of $$$ and time hot rodding this bass. It is a really nice guitar.

I think my question about rails vs pole pieces is important... Do you have any idea? It could seriously affect the string to string output if the strings don't line up with pole prices evenly, however, rails allow for consistant output regardless of string spacing... Are the pickups made with rails? Thanks

Since the bass has been routed for new pickups etc...would actual original pickups loo a little out of place ??
INTERESTED IN SELLING the original electronics and bridge ?
