Yamaha Broad Bass Truss rod tool?

Arnold,
Can you tell us what model of Yamaha bass that is? I'm used to their basses having a standard hex nut at the end of the truss rod.
Could the nut be missing here?
Anymore detail about the bass would be appreciated.

Newer Guitars and Basses:
The size of the Allen wrench for the trust rod is 5mm.
Older Guitars and Basses:
The size of the Allen socket wrench for the trust rod is 8mm but there may be some variation on some models.
What you need, I think, is called a right angle truss rod wrench in one of those two sizes.

If you have a socket wrench set - you might be able to tell which one it is by just sliding the socket over the nut, if yours fits, while not being attached to the wrench handle.
Music shops won't carry this.
Sears has an angled socket in several sizes that allow the socket to be at an angle to the handle, but these $5 Allparts tools are probably the smarter option.

Did that angled socket or allparts tool work for you? I appear to have the same issue here with my Yamaha RBX200
For what it's worth, my Yamaha RBX170EW uses a standard 1/8 allen on the truss rod, same as my Fender knock-off.
