Anyone play through this powered mixer before? I did a sub gig last night and they had rented this. Not a bad little mixer. Had quite enough power for the small spot we played at. 500w per channel at 4ohms. Setup was just 2 mains and 2 monitors. Just had 2 vocals and my bass (so the keyboardist on the other side could hear me better). Not bad. Lightweight as well.

It was my gigging system for a few years until I got a MixWiz and some subs. You can slave a sub off the mono out. It is a very usable system up to a certain point. Once you start mic'ing guitar cabs and needing to put bass and kick into the PA though, it quickly becomes inadequate.

I still have mine. We use it for rehearsals sometimes since we only use monitors. We always bring it as a back up too, although it really is only an emergency back up.

It was great. Only 3 channels were used. I still could have added a kick and a stereo feed from the keyboards and another vocal. Drummer had a powered monitor so we took a feed from the Mon out.

Had one and LOVED it! Sold it and a 5 string Jazz to move into a slightly larger powered mixer. Still have a Peavey xr8600. It was a tough choice which one to sell - but the Peavey won since it has a few features i prefer that the Yamaha didn't.

You should get great service from it - clean - powerful - light!! good choice for a simple setup.
