Yamaha EMX521SC

POWER AMP switch
Up(MAIN L/R):
Speaker jacks A1 and A2 output the signal from the Main bus, and speaker jacks B1 and B2 output the signal from the Main R bus. The Main's section Master Knob adjusts the output level at all of the speaker jacks.
Down(MAIN(L+R)?MON):
Speaker jacks A1 and A2 output a mix of the signals from the Main L and Main R buses. Speaker jacks B1 and B2 output the signal from the Monitor bus. The Main sections Master knob adjusts the level to the A jacks, while Monitor sections Master knob adjust the level of the B jacks.
Now the questions. In the DOWN position I can run 2 Mains off the Main section and 2 Monitors off of the Monitor section?
In the UP position, what would the connection be and how is it controlled? Can I run 2 mains off the "A" speaker connection(daisy chained) and 2 mains off of the "B" speaker connection(daisy chained)? In this case, controlling the output by the Master knob of the MAIN Bus? All speakers being 8 ohms.
Then...run an external power amp out of the "monitor out" and connect 2 monitors off of 1 channel and 2 monitors off the other channel. Giving me 4 MAINS running off of the powered mixer's internal amps and 4 MONITORS running off the external power amp, being controlled by the Master knob of the Monitor bus.
I'm not sure about this...any help? Can this be done as I explained or not? Can the powered mixer run 4 Mains like I described and the external power amp run 4 monitors?
Thanks for any help and input.

all the switch does is send the monitor out to one internal amplifier,
and main out to the other. Or mains out to both internal amps

Either way the mixer can power 4-8 ohm speakers.
with 2 speakers on each amp you are getting 250w per 8 ohm speaker

The Main and monitor out Jacks are line level and can feed another amp
and yes you can power 4 more 8 ohm speakers, 2 on each side of the ext amp
providing the said amp is rated for a 4 ohm load per channel and you are using 2-8 ohm speakers per channel

Master volumes are in the signal path of the output jacks according to schematic.....
Output jacks should use TRS to XLR cables to connect to another amps inputs.

Thanks for the help. I've been trying to figure out how to run 4 mains and 4 monitors by utilizing the equipment I have. I have the EMX512 and 6 speakers. So it looks like I need to find an external power amp and 2 more 15"(s). Thanks again.
