I picked up an almost new Motion II this past weekend and love how it looks, plays and feels... It's white with the gold hardware... and like I said it's new. When I played it thru this guys small amp it did not sound all that good, but I thought hey, it's got 10 + year old strings on it and the amp was a name I have never heard of... After getting it home cleaning it and placing new strings on it and then running it thru my Eden gear to my surprise it sounded the same... all the controls work just fine, it' has 2 volume and one push pull tone control.
Question, is it worth it to install a pre-amp and would it make any difference with regards to sound. And, if so any ideas on a preamp given the stock soap bar pickups with a 2 volume, push pull tone control set up? Like I said it's a fast player and a great looker...
