What's the heaviest gauge string anyone's fit on the Yamaha TRBX505? I'm getting one this week and I want to drop tune to AEADG and ADADG. The Kalium string tension calculator shows that the low A should be a .148 to have comparable tension to a .130 at B. I'm wondering if the .148 will fit in the nut without having to file it, though, as I don't want to immediately void the warranty.

I drop my trbx504 from EADG to BEAD with Dunlop SBN 40-100 !.
Yes,it is floopy and easily get buzz, but the EAD tone just sound massive and nice, the only downside are the B just dull.....
If I seriously do the same thing again, I will go with DR drop tuning set.

I do play a TRBX505 but only in the standard BEADG tuning with a 130B, so can't help you with the question.
