I just came across the "nicest bassist you ever met" thread and it reminded me of one bassist who was not quite so nice. Now, I'm not going to mention any names because I don't want to give anybody a bad rep. But anyways here's my story:
I was looking forward to this gig for months, I never thought I would have been able to play with a band that big. I never thought I'd be able to play with one of my idols. Well after the show (and after they were done moving equipment) I had to go up and shake his hand. I told him that they played an amazing show and I also told him how awesome he was.
He simply flipped his hair back and said "Yeah, I know" and walked away without even looking at me. I guess sometimes its true that you should never meet your idols.
Anybody else go through something like this? DON"T MENTION NAMES!!!
