Submission Yes, "Hold On" (90125)

My humble submission of Yes, "Hold On", presented to the TB brethren and sistern. I don't think Chris Squire played a lot of 5 string basses, but I'm definitely hearing a few select notes below a low 'E', so the tab/notation is written for a 5 string.

Our band is covering this, and in trying to learn it, I couldn't find a decent tab/notation to save my life. However, I did find this...

... I used to make fun of this, likening it to someone playing bass under water. Turns out, it's actually not a bad tool to piece together what I was hearing, with what I already knew of the song.

My goal, as usual, is to provide a decent tab/notation... constructive criticism is always welcome to make it better for the collective.

Enjoy!

I find it easier to hear bass playing when I shift the entire track an octave up, rather than down. I use a program called "Transcribe!".

Your transcription seems accurate but I would strongly advise you to change those few bars of 3/4 into 6/8, to keep the rhythmic accents consistent. 12/8 is "really" a 4/4 in triplets, so seeing a bar of 3/4 in your transcription, my mind went for a loop when there were only six 8th note triplets in that bar.

Appreciate it, @905. As you can see, music theory is not my strong suit. Lol! Guitar Pro is not much help when it comes to this... it only takes what the user inputs. In my case, a less than appropriate time signature.

I'm going to give another listen to @pmatz2's offering, revise and correct the time signature issue, as well.
