I have the opportunity to purchase a Yorkville BM400 combo amp locally for $399. From the picture it looks like it's in excellent shape and the store is a quality place - they wouldn't sell it if it didn't work. I wanted to get some opinions on it before I drove the 45 minutes to check it out, though. I don't want to waste my time.
I own a G&L L2500 Tribute bass strung with Sadowsky flats and I'm looking for a clear and warm sound. I've got an Acoustic B200 right now and the sound is right - I'm just not sure about the long term reliability of it.
Can I get that kind of sound out of the BM400? I don't want to have to go through an amp modeling pedal and then into the BM400 to get the tone I'm looking for.
Thanks!
