Wait a minute. This thread is getting dangerously close to a violation of the f0rùm r0075. I have been negatively influenced, and by Moderators, no less!

And I'm not even uptight, see? See how uptight I ain't? No sweat, no static... No siree Bob. I'm as cool as cucumber. Can you see? CAN YOU FREAKIN SEE???

Don -

We're cool, I figured you knew what the difference was, my problem is with the kids that want "respect" when they have no real concept of it.

True Dat. I am a member of the Dew (never heard that one before) generation, and I am sadly dissappointed by the lack of respect some of the people my age give to their elders, and to each other. The place where I work we have young bands come into play, and normally they all complain about everything we do, saying that we are not respecting them at all. These are the same guys who get up on stage, and crank their amps as loud as they can, despite the fact that we tell them they have to keep their sound level down, and if they want to hear themselve, just to tell us to turn the monitor up.

These guys do not give me, nor the two adults I work with any respect, and frequently we have cords, and DI boxes stolen off of the stage. We just finished installing security cameras on stage so that these kids will stop stealing stuff. My parents always taught me to treat my elders with respect, and to always follow the rules, when you are in some elses house. You can tell someone not to smoke in the building, and yet they will come waltzing in with a cig in their mouth. What is peoples problem with authority? The whole concept of people who hate the police, and say we should have a state of anarchy are idiots IMO.

Whens D-Day Chris?

Near as we can figure, mid to late November. Thanks to everyone for sending those good vibes our way.

SASQUATCH,

Maybe I'm getting addled in my old age, but that went straight over my head. I'll be happy to be anyone's personal bass antichrist if they want (I'm guessing there are a few here who consider that a foregone conclusion), but I must have missed the boat on that remark.

Thanks! I tried to leave twice and failed both times. What can I say?

X, you obviously haven't listened to Hotel California by the Eagles recently.Remember the line, " You can check out anytime you like, but, you can never leave!" :D They were prophetically refering to Talkbass.

Chris F. Congrats on the bundle of joy on the way.
