I like that Travis Larson.Kinda sounds like a mix of Rush and Eric Johnson.
They are a killer band and all are excellent musicians. I've seen them live twice and talked to them after. All 3 are very nice and extremely humble.
Is this really a thing? I actually HAVE never heard of it, but then again, I AM Prog and kind of a snob about it.

Cowboy chords are usually the D/A/G/C chords played in the first position on an acoustic guitar. They are usually the first chords a lot of people play when first learning.
It is. First position open chords. Also called "folk music" as well as "cowboy" chords since they're chord fingerings commonly used in those genres.
My wife said she will go to see many bands with me again, but not King Crimson. Not ever, under any circumstances. I loved the gig.
You are prog if, after thirty years in the business, you go on reunion tour with very nearly the original line up. You employ a younger band in the same genre as your prog heyday, doing original material and they end up sounding more like you than you do.
The reunion line up then falls apart and you get in new blood by hiring two of your former support act that then write all of the new album. Fans complain that whilst it's the best album in a decade, is it really Thotch, or something else?
