Hello all!

I'm very excited about being a part of this community.
I've only been playing bass for about a year now, and I thought
it'd be cool too chat with some pros, and talk music.
I love all the usual suspects as far as bass playing goes.
But I'm so inspired
by a lot of the bass players who are my age, and doing it. Especially
Tal Wilkenfeld, being that I am a girl myself, and this isn't exactly
the typical instrument for us. I like Hadrien Feraud. I just bought Esperanza's album(Love It!). I also just found out about this guy
Jon Reshard. Just bought his album too. I hadn't heard of him at all,
but he had Dave Weckl on his album, and I'm a HUGE electric band fan.
What do you guys think of these new guys?
Seeing as how one day I would like to be in that category.....

They're all cool...doing their own thing, having fun. Time will tell if they become legendary, but we'll see. Another one to check out is Julie Slick. She's more rock, but she's a great player.

Hadrien, Tal, and Esperanza...you've got some good taste! You might also like Matthew Garrison and Janek Gwizdala, who has his own "Ask a Pro" section here on TB.
Oh, and welcome of course...
