Your Black Friday Haul?

Sat around, ate leftovers, watched some TV and movies, worked on Killer Queen a bit, and went to a local show tonight. No shopping for me.

Well done.

This is the first time I've gotten up early for Black Friday, maybe ever. Got my son the $50 Guitar Center drum kit that I posted about in another thread, as well as free drumsticks. Got a set of Sennheiser 201 headphones for $15 at the same sale...not as good of a deal, but good for my daughter's computer use. Had to get out of bed at 5:00 for that stuff.

That was it for physical store shopping; the rest was online. The one thing I got for myself was a new phone: a Nokia Lumia 521 for me & my wife for $80 each. Not a decked out smartphone or new iPhone, but I've been using a non-smartphone all these years, so it's actually a big step up for me. I'm probably getting a Windows pro tablet in the near future, so might as well get used to the OS. Other than that, my wife and I did more gift shopping, for our kids or others, on different websites.

We stayed far away from all retail outlets today. I took my family to see a movie then went home for leftovers and mincemeat pie. It was a good day.

Woke up to rain. Made coffee, played backgammon with my son, went for a surf in some fun head-high waves, took my son to swim practice,graded some papers, grilled a burger, drank a beer got caught up on homeland.

my gf had to work in the desert at some hotel, but after the helicopter flew away i did enjoy a hike in the canyon with the dogs

No shopping on Friday, but did pull the trigger on hardware and electronics from Bestbassgear for the fiver I will someday put together.

I scored a set of Paiste 14" Alpha Rock Hi-hats at a pawn shop for 45 bucks. Aside from one tarnished spot they look new. Thats about the extent of my black friday shopping

One 64GB Dell Venue 8 Pro, a 48" round pub table with four stools, Carhartt and Cabela t-shirts, a years supply of socks, picture frames, kitchen utensils, two Staub cocettes, and some toys for the dog. We don't celebrate the holidays, so this was all stuff for the wife, the dog, and I.
