Them Crooked Vultures was almost my dream power trio, but Josh Homme kind of wrecked it, IMO. JPJ was great, and Dave Grohl was channeling the greats on that album, but I just feel Homme wasn't keeping up - and his vocals get a bit 'samey' after a few songs. Love QOTSA, just wasn't feeling it on TCV.

So maybe Dave Grohl, Jack White, and John Paul Jones.
